Individual serving bowl

Individual serving bowl (mukozuke 向付): thinly potted, low thinly trimmed foot. Four chips in lip.
Clay: fine-grained brown stoneware.
Glaze: thin, transparent, semi-matte, some fine crackle, some pitting, covers all but bearing edge of foot.
Decoration: underglaze; thick creamy slip laid on with special brush (hakeme decoration) with patting and a motion to create a pattern characteristic of this ware.
