Winners of a 2017 Grammy Award for chamber music, this Chicago-based quartet performs Resounding Earth, Augusta Read Thomas’s epic work for one hundred Asian bells. Also on the program are Glenn Kotche’s Wild Sound, Isaac Schankler’s Blindnesses, and Steve Reich’s Mallet Quartet. Third Coast Percussion won the 2017 Grammy for best chamber music/small ensemble performance with their album Third Coast Percussion | Steve Reich, released on Cedille Records. Composer Augusta Read Thomas received a Grammy Award in 2011 for the recording of her choral music by Chanticleer.
