How to Apply

Participants must be advanced (ABD) graduate students or have received a PhD within the last three years. Selections are made through an open, competitive application review. Applications are due June 15, 2018. Decisions are announced by September 1, 2018.

To apply, submit the following as a single PDF to meyera@si.edu by June 15, 2018. Please include “Whistler Object Study Workshop” in the subject line.

• Application cover sheet
• Curriculum vitae
• Graduate school transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
• 500-word statement explaining your interest in the workshop, relevant previous research or teaching experience, and the impact of the workshop on your professional development.
• One letter of recommendation from a scholar of British or American art. This may be sent via email and must come directly from the reviewer. Please include the applicant’s name in the subject line.
