This dyptich and single portrait are from the series Sketches of a Fractured Song based on found archival photographs of nurses. The images of nurses and the fans, and their digital manipulation, are related to deeply personal memories of the sounds and images she associates with her father. Here, the use of color and texture becomes tools in her search to recapture childhood memories of safety and warmth.
