 Object file. Acquired while Mr. and Mrs. Osborne and Gratia Hauge were living in Saigon (1972 or 1973-1975). Curatorial remarks indicate that some of the Northern Vietnamese pieces were acquired from Mr. Goh in Singapore or from Christie's New York.

Covered box of flattened globular form with short foot and a lotus bud knob at the centre of the lid.
Clay: light grey stoneware.
Glaze: clear, glossy, crazed; base and flange unglazed.
Decoration: painted in underglaze cobalt blue with six petals radiating from the knob of the lid, a central band of floral scroll on body, overlapping petals above foot. Knob painted with iron pigment.
