 Object file. Acquired while Mr. and Mrs. Osborne and Gratia Hauge were living in Saigon (1972 or 1973-1975). Curatorial remarks indicate that some of the Northern Vietnamese pieces were acquired from Mr. Goh in Singapore or from Christie's New York.

Blue and white jar with short neck, globular body and carved footring.
Clay: ivory white stoneware.
Glaze: clear, matte, slightly underfired; base and interior unglazed.
Decoration: painted with underglaze cobalt blue over white slip; overlapping petals round the shoulder, a band of four-petalled flower alternated with leafy tendrils on the central body. A few tendrils above foot.
