Folio from a dispersed copy of a Rawzat al-Safa Fi Sirat al-Anbiya Wa'l-Muluk Wa'l- Khulafa (Garden of Felicity) by Muhammad b. Khwandshah (known as Mirkhwand); Persian and Arabic in black and red nasta'liq script; recto: left-hand half of a double-page frontispiece now separate from the facing folio (S1986.373), headings in white, one column, eleven lines; verso: text, one column, twenty-five lines; one of a group of three folios.
Border: The recto is set in red and blue rulings followed by illuminated side panels and cartouches and an illuminated outer frame on cream-colored paper. The verso is set in gold, purple, blue, and black rulings on cream-colored paper.
