Manuscript; A section of Qur'an, Sura al-Tawba (Repentance), sura 9: beginning of verse 93 to Sura Yunus (Jonah), sura 10: end of verse 109; Arabic in black muhaqqaq script, headings in white thuluth script; 46 folios with 2 illuminated headings (fols. 1 recto, 15 recto); rosette verse markers; standard page: 1column, 5 lines of text.
Binding: The manuscript is bound in leather over paper pasteboards with blind and gold tooling, medallion, and cornerpieces on the exterior covers, and doublures of block pressed leather. The doublures have an all over pattern of intertwining leaves and stems. The ground of the envelope flap is covered with rope work, and the tip of the envelop flap contains a roundel outlined in gold.
