Detached folio from a dispersed copy of a Garshaspnama (Book of Garshasp) by Ali Asadi Tusi (known as Asadi the younger); text: Persian in black nasta'liq script; recto: illustration and text, Garshasp, the legendary worrier, slays a dragon; verso: text, four columns, seventeen lines; one of a group of two folios.
Border: The painting and the text are set in blue, red and gold rulings on cream-colored paper.
