Curved fragment from body of vase or jar.
White porcelain, paste shows rough fracture, air-holes, some inclusions of impurities (iron?).
Transparent “aqua,” high-lustre Ch’ing pai glaze, irregular crackle. Inside unglazed, with marks of smoothing and what may be luted joint between top and bottom sections of body. (Do not observe evidence of joint in cross-section.)
Decorated with applied “beaded string,” a Yuan type. Design section remaining shows a conventionalized cloud motif flanked triangularly by wavy line which could be a repeat medallion or collar enclosing another motif.

Porcelain sherd with light blue underglaze and clear overglaze. Exterior has raised design elements.
