A blue and white two-handled vase and cover of bulbous form with wide, straight neck and low-domed cover; the short splayed foot decorated with band of herringbone beneath stylized scrolls; the body with two opposite barbed quatrefoil panels; each panel enclosing two overlapping trapezoid shape fans with herringbone borders and interior scenes; the fans surrounded by various Buddhist symbols; the exterior of the quatrefoil panels each with lotus plant emerging from the foot; the low domed cover with short splayed lip and decorated with a large central quatrefoil panel with each quarter enclosing a different Buddhist emblem; the blue bud-form finial forming the center of the quatrefoil flower; the sinuous S-form handles each with lower molded scroll painted with meandering vine to the molded blue mask on the upper curve of the handle; the sharply cut footrim unglazed; the base glazed white.
