Karatsu ware, Takeo Karatsu type, mishima Karatsu style.
Wheel-thrown dish; carved footring; decoration painted with white slip and iron or incised and stamped and inlaid with white slip.
In center, two facing cranes painted with white slip, details painted in black iron pigment. Surrounded by radiating bands of stamped decoration filled with white slip. In bottom: full-face plum blossoms; full-face aster blossoms; zigzag stripes. On side (both inside and out): net-like lattice. On everted rim: full-face aster blossoms, broken in two places by geometric patterns.
