Cup with unglazed rim

Jacoby description with Louise Cort’s annotations, as of 25 March 1990: Porcelain small cup on high ring foot, curved side, unglazed lip rim. Decorated inside with a floral spray, coated in a bluish glaze, Sung, 907-1127 A.D.

The body of the bowl is almost hemispherical in shape and the foot is narrow and relatively tall. The vessel is a light blue/green color except at the rim where it is off-white and unglazed. A simple, incised flower decoration is present in the center of the inner surface.
