Detached folio from a dispersed copy of the Shahnama (Book of kings) by Firdawsi; text: Persian in black naskhi script; recto: blank; verso: illustration and text: Turanian prisoners of war brought before Shah Ka'us, Ka'us answers the letter of Kay Khusraw, heading in gold, 6 columns, 18 line; one of a group of 2 folios.
Border: The text and the painting are set in red, gold, and blue rulings on cream-colored paper.
