Detached folio from a dispersed copy of a Majmua' al-tawarikh (Compendium of chronciles) by Hafiz-i Abru; text: Persian in black naskhi script with red headings; recto: text: The third article: The Bani Umayya dynasty, Mu'awiyah ibn Abi-Sufyan, the departure of Jusrat ibn Veda', 30 lines; verso: illustration and text: Events of the year forty-three, A parley between two groups of Muslim horsemen; 19 lines.
Border: The text and the painting are set in cream-colored paper.
