Charles Lang Freer는 Yamanaka & Company로부터 작품 구입 시 주로 Yamanaka & Company의 뉴욕 지사를 이용하였음. Yamanaka & Company는 보스턴, 시카고, 런던, 베이징, 상하이, 오사카, 나라, 교토 등지에서 지사를 운영하였음. 뉴포트, 바하버, 애틀랜틱시티에는 여름 동안만 운영하는 지사를 두기도 했음.[2] 각주 1 참조.[3] Charles Lang Freer 기증 증서 원본은 1906년에 서명되었음. 기증품은 프리어미술관 완공 당시인 1920년에 수증함.
