경상북도 경주에서 발굴된 것으로 알려짐 [1]1917년 이전 뉴욕 혹은 일본 소재 Yamanaka & Company에서 1917년까지 소장 [2]1917년부터 1919년 Charles Lang Freer(1854-1919)가 1917년에 Yamanaka & Company로부터 구입하여 소장 [3]1920년 이후 프리어미술관 소장, 1920년 Charles Lang Freer 기증품 [4]각주:[1] Yamanaka and Company에서 제공한 정보에 따름(해당 유물 기록 중 Louise Cort의 2010년 7월 8일자 큐레이터 의견 5번 항목 참조).[2] 프리어새클러미술관 아카이브 소장 Original Miscellaneous List, S.I. 1270 참조. 해당 유물 기록 중 E. Radcliffe의 1976년 큐레이터 의견 2번 항목에 따르면, “Original Registration List 복사본에 본 유물을 일본의 Yamanaka and Company로부터 구입하였다고 기재되어 있음.” 또한 해당 유물 기록 중 Louise Cort의 2010년 7월 8일자 큐레이터 의견 5번 항목 참조.[3] 각주 2 참조.[4] Charles Lang Freer 기증 증서 원본은 1906년에 서명되었음. 기증품은 프리어미술관 완공 당시인 1920년에 수증함.
