Performances

East meets West in live music, dance, and theater performances from across Asia. Experience classical, traditional, and contemporary genres through concerts in the 300-seat Meyer Auditorium, relaxing outdoor performances on the Freer steps facing the National Mall, and intimate presentations alongside exhibitions. Our chamber music series focuses on renowned ensembles performing the latest works by Asian composers and music inspired by Asia.

While we wait for on-site events to restart, enjoy these rich online music experiences: our new video series Look & Listen explores connections between music and art; live-streamed concerts by outstanding soloists and ensembles; and wonderful past concerts on our music podcasts, continually expanded and with outstanding audio quality, complete program notes, concert photos, and related artworks from our collections and exhibitions.
